ABOUT LEILA SHIEKHY- YOUR MOUNT AIRY DOG TRAINER
Hi there! I’m Leila Shiekhy, an Expert Dog Trainer and I run K9 Harmony Dog Training.
My passion is working with families and their dogs so they can enjoy a lifetime of fun and adventurewith them.
With two young children and a 3 year old Lab, I know how enjoyable it can be to include your dog in your everyday activities with the proper training.
Many of my clients choose to start training with me soon after they bring their new puppy home. Starting training in puppyhood gives my clients dogs an amazing foundation of good habits for their life. That said, it’s also never too late as long as you’re open to instruction and willing to put in a bit of effort.
Dogs that go through my programs learn to be well-behaved in the house, have amazing loose-leash walking skills, impulse control, and focus around distractions which allows them to be included in their family’s daily actvities.
I am committed to ongoing education to give me many tools and techniques to address dog behavior issues. This means I can create a customized plan for your dog based on their personality and your family situation.
My education at National K-9 School for Dog Trainers and T3: Train the Trainers along with membership with the International Association of Canine Professionalshas given me the dog training skills and human coaching skills to help my clients achieve resolution of their dog training issues. I have over 20 years of experience with dogs of all breed and ages, which means I can help you with any dog training challenge!
